GoldenEye 007: Reloaded

GoldenEye 007 came out years ago on the Nintendo 64 and it was a game that we all played until the early hours of the morning. It was a classic shooter with plenty of content to make your gaming experience last forever. But all good things come to an end and that era is long gone and forgotten, or has it?
GoldenEye 007: Reloaded has returned to our consoles in the form of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Last I heard it was on the Wii console as well. The game sports a brand new graphics engine to make it a remarkable production fit for everyone.
This time it has a new story.

Older gamers who played the original will know how exciting it was when you could shoot the guard's hat off, or shoot at him while he was on the loo. It was real fun. But now there is no such thing. The whole story is different and fresh.
The solo mission has M16 charged with a variety of missions. Some of them are defensive and others offensive. The only drawback is that they are far too short and leave you with a feeling of disappointment that the drama is over just when you were starting to enjoy it. There is also a lot of repetition. You find that you are killing the same foes over and over and they are in the exact positions as before, so there is ultimately no real challenge. The game is still exciting, however, and brimming with action.
If you play the game online or with friends locally then it's quite different, because the A1 is absent and you compete against real people who keep on changing their strategy. No two people think alike, so the game shines with fresh and interesting content that never seems to get boring. This is probably the best way to play an FPS like GoldenEye 007: Reloaded.
You can use Golden gun for a death match or add the paintball option so that you can see where your opponent has been hit by your slug. But if you want a long drawn out mission then play in a team against others. There are different weapons and each one provides its own unique style to the game. Collect health bars to rejuvenate your injuries and coins to upgrade your firearms. Consult your maps often as they provide valuable information about your enemies' whereabouts.
Many players will find the gameplay is addictive with endless fun. The characters can be customized endlessly. Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan would have been a great character to add, instead of the unknown figures present in the game. The graphics sometimes disappoint, but it does a fairly good job to keep the pictures sharp and clear.
GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is a nice game, but don't expect it to be as good as the original. If you want to relive glory days gone by, then this game is not a bad choice.
